#06 — I bought a new domain, again...
In the makers' community sometimes it sounds like a joke. With irony behind. Because all of them sometimes buy domain and after never use it. I do the same. I hope this time the project will take off.
Hello friends 🙋♂️,
I warmly welcome new subscribers to Ivan's Indie Journey.
It is my weekly newsletter, where I share reflections and updates on my journey as an indie maker.

This issue has been delayed, and there are reasons. At the same time, I decided not to strictly adhere to the old format and instead create my own message. Personal message.
I was let go from the project where I had worked for seven and a half years last week. A lot of time. But I found out it was the start of a new era. Yes, I am optimistic in times when many people are losing jobs. But I believe that the changes that happened are not just simple chaotic things. It is the answer from the universe to our internal questions.
And now when I am “free” from the previous duties, I have more choices to make. Sounds like freedom, isn’t it? Maybe yes. I would like to think that.
This week I am working on creating my schedule and content plan related to my blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other publications. It should be the system, and it looks like a system. So, I guess I will roll it out next week, starting with publishing the blog post, the related Twitter thread, and other publications.
At the same time, I am looking for ways to effectively switch between a professional who writes and a solopreneur who builds. Because all activities require time, which is a pretty limited resource, I need to build the rules of where and what I do.
I wrote on Twitter that walking is underrated. And I really know what I am talking about. I started walking last year, and it was a nice period. In February and March, I’ve been walking around 100 kilometers per month. During a walk, the brain works differently than when you're sitting. I had as many ideas during the last 40-minute walk yesterday as I had in the previous month while sitting near my laptop.
So, here, I will be brave and give you advice. Stacked on something, get up, and go for a 30-minute walk outside. A solution will be found. I promise.
Thanks to a walk, I decided to start a new project. I bought a domain. I created a logo. As experienced people say, I already have 50% success. 😃 Stay tuned! I will announce it soon.
And the final thought that I wanted to put in this issue is about the format of the newsletter. Previously, I spoke about having several sub-newsletters here, but after some reflection, I see that it is a bad idea. But I also want to provide value in the newsletter and share something useful. So I will continue to write once a week, as usual, but I am going to add more useful links, tools, videos, etc. Everything that helps me with my success on the indie maker path. If you have any suggestions, I would be delighted to hear them.
Follow me on Twitter, LinkedIn, Medium, DEV, Indie Hackers, and Product Hunt.
🧘♂️ Next Week Focus
It is pretty short and simple. Make a plan for content work and tasks in to-do lists for the top five projects, which I am building.
👀 Ivan's Week Progress
Here are the updates for Week 05, 2023.
If you would like to get the full list of details, including real MRR and revenue numbers, feel free to join and subscribe to membership. Every Saturday at 12 p.m., I post updates on BMC under the special plan, “Build in Public”
Pretty short this time, and I want to remove these stats from the weekly schedule and write updates once a month instead. I suppose it's preferable to have monthly wrap-up issues than to spam you with numbers every week. Numbers are nice, and everything grows, but probably it is boring. If you have another opinion, please write a comment. By the way, there are some achievements in numbers from the past week.
